The rousing success of the Animal Welfare Charity Streamathon means that the community unlocked (instantly, and live on stream!) all three new site features available on Saturday. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve added:
Visualizations
Thanks to wobble, we can now see a top-down, in-browser, animated visual representation of each game called Party Surveillance.
You’ll find a new icon here on individual match pages like this one that will automatically take you to the corresponding visualization over on his site. In addition to all the standard controls you’d expect (pause, rewind, change speed, scrub the timeline, and monitor mission progress), you can also see available prints at any given time, and switch between the sniper’s actual highlights and lowlights and automatic statue lights, to get a general sense of party activity. NOTE: this feature is very much in beta, and larger replays will take a moment to load.
Tournaments
We launched a new Tournaments page for the last three Summer Cups and all three Winter Cups. Each tournament has its own page, as well, and the roughly 6,000 games across these six tournaments have all been fully integrated into the Game Finder, the Leaderboard, and individual player pages. That last inclusion means that we finally have pages for players who have never played in SCL. This is roughly a 30% increase in catalogued competitive replays, to just over 26,000.
Match Odds
A simple tool that accepts a match score and returns the number of times the trailing/leading player wins, loses, or draws, as well as a list of all matches which, well, match the criteria. Great for finding epic comebacks or general insights into how significant certain common deficits are in competitive play. Note: is limited to SCL regular season (for now).
